At Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha (RMHC), we’re spreading holiday joy through our Adopt a Family program. Make a difference by connecting with a family in need, selecting meaningful Christmas presents that will warm their hearts, personally delivering your gifts to RMHC, and celebrating with families on December 15th 10am-Noon. Be a part of this heartwarming holiday tradition. Adopt a Family and help us create unforgettable memories for families facing challenges this season. FAQ:
What do I need to provide for the families?
Each adopted family should receive family gifts for each family member children and adults, with a value of $50 or less per person.
How soon should I express my interest in adopting families?
Our goal is to match families as soon as possible to allow sponsors and families ample time to plan.
Can I choose the family size?
Yes, you can select the family size that best suits your family or group’s capacity to support.
Can I adopt multiple families?
Certainly! You can adopt as many families as you’d like, as long as you can meet the minimum requirements for each family.
Can I wrap the gifts?
Please wrap and label your gifts, making it clear which family member should receive the gift(s).
How long does it take to be matched with an RMHC family?
Once you notify RMHC of your intent to participate, your family information will be sent to you by Friday, December 6th. Some families may arrive after this date, and we may require volunteers for those last-minute arrivals the week of December 11th.
When should I drop off the gifts?
We encourage all sponsors to join us in the celebration on December 15th from 10 am to noon, where you can personally present your gifts to the families. However, if you are unable to attend, we kindly request that gifts be dropped off by noon on December 14th.
